The Banking Standards Board (BSB) has today announced the appointment of Loretta Minghella to its Board of Directors. Loretta is the First Church Estates Commissioner and responsible for the strategic oversight of the Church Commissioners’ 8.3 billion investment portfolio.
Loretta has extensive experience working in the financial, law and charity sector. Her previous positions include: Chief Executive of Christian Aid, Chair of the International Organisation of Securities Commissions’ Standing Committee on Enforcement and Information-Sharing, and Chief Executive of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme.
BSB Chairman, Dame Colette Bowe, said:
‘I am very pleased to welcome Loretta Minghella to the Board of the Banking Standards Board and look forward very much to working with her. She has extensive experience of leadership in a number of sectors, and will bring a valuable perspective to the Board.’
Loretta Minghella, commenting on this new appointment, said:
